West Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Westside is an urban region in western Los Angeles County, California, United States. It has no official definition, but, according to the Los Angeles Times, it comprises 101.28 square miles, encompassing 25 districts in the city of Los Angeles and two unincorporated neighborhoods, plus the cities of Beverly Hills, Culver City, Santa Monica and West Hollywood.

The Westside is one of the most affluent areas in both the city of Los Angeles and the Greater Los Angeles area. The area is home to some of the wealthiest neighborhoods of Los Angeles such as Bel Air, Pacific Palisades and Venice, as well as cities such as Beverly Hills and Santa Monica. Additionally, most of the city’s Millionaire’s Miles are found on the Westside.

The majority of the movie industry’s operation in the United States is no longer based in Hollywood, but rather in the Westside. As a result, the bulk of the metropolitan region’s major production corporations, talent agencies and entertainment law firms are based in this area.

Also, the Westside is home to the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), located in the Westwood neighborhood, which itself is one of the city’s largest business districts outside of Downtown Los Angeles.
